SUCCESS EXPERIENCES OF STUDENTS: A PHENOMENOLOGICAL RESEARCH

Öğrencilerin başarı algıları ve başarıya yükledikleri anlamlar, yaşam doyumlarının bir göstergesi olarak düşünülebilir. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmada, farklı kademelerdeki öğrencilerin başarılarına anlamların neler olduğunun, deneyimlerinin nasıl gerçekleştiğinin matematik başarısının genel içerisinde konumlandırıldığının incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Fenomenoloji desenlenen çalışmanın katılımcılarını, ortaokul, lise üniversite kademelerinden toplam 18 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme formları kullanılarak elde edilen veriler, tematik içerik analiz tekniği edilmiştir. Araştırmada sonuçlara göre, genellikle başarıyı konulan hedefe ulaşma gördükleri; algılarının ilkokul kademesinden itibaren not-ağırlıklı olmaktan uzaklaştığı, ancak değişimin asıl sonra belirginleştiği ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca, dersindeki başarılarının başarıları üzerinde etkisi olduğu, arkadaşlarıyla olan sosyal ilişkilerinden ziyade, aileleri öğretmenleri ile ilişkilerini daha çok biçimlendirdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
